During my recent transit in Aachen, I had the opportunity to stay at Relais Königsberg. The main reason for choosing this hotel was its convenient location. Situated just 70 km from the nearest airport, it proved to be a convenient choice for my short stay. the hotel is located near a train station, making it easily accessible for travelers arriving by train.
I must say that my overall experience at Relais Königsberg was not entirely satisfactory. the hotel seemed quite old, and the specific old smell was rather unpleasant.

The room had a big, cozy bed with a memory foam mattress, perfect for a good night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and there was a flat screen TV in the room, although the channel selection was limited. The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to main roads and good connections. the breakfast offered a wide range of delicious food and drinks, ensuring a satisfying start to the day.
During my stay, the top floor room was a bit hot to sleep in, especially since it was the hottest weekend of the summer. there were some minor issues like a broken light in the bathroom and a strange sound coming from the tap/shower.

The value for money at this hotel was excellent. The room was fantastic, with a big bed and a memory foam mattress. The location was perfect for hiking, with trails right outside the hotel. The staff were friendly and made check-in easy.
The morning meal could have been better by offering earlier options or providing sandwiches for guests who needed to leave early.

Panoramic views of the surroundings" - The moment I walked into my room, I was greeted by the most breathtaking view of the surrounding area. It felt like being on top of the world. I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of nature unfolding before my eyes. Truly unforgettable!

The hotel had a lovely and charming decoration, with a cozy and comfortable atmosphere that made me feel at home. The general areas were well-maintained and clean, making it easy for me to navigate around as a senior woman. The hotel also had good accessibility features, such as ramps and handrails, which made it convenient for me to move around with ease.
I would have appreciated better assistance from the staff, as it seemed like the children working there were not as attentive to the needs of senior guests. I would have liked more personalized attention and assistance during my stay to ensure a better vacation experience for senior people like me.

As a senior woman, I appreciated the warm and cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The decoration had a charming vintage touch, with elegant furniture and beautiful paintings adorning the walls. The general areas were well-maintained and easily accessible for seniors, with spacious corridors and well-lit hallways. It was a pleasant experience to relax in the hotel's garden, enjoying the tranquility and the lovely view of the surrounding nature.
My only suggestion for a better vacation for seniors would be to have staff available around the clock to assist with any needs or concerns. Sometimes, when the children working there were not present, it would have been beneficial to have someone readily available for assistance, especially during the evening or early morning hours.
